When these Ohio State Buckeye fans decided to start a family, they never imagined it was going to take them down a path ending at Shady Grove Fertility Center. Even through all the doctors appointments, tests, needles (did I mention Jen hates needles?) and disappointments- they managed to stay positive and keep a smile on their faces.
I'll never forget the huge grin on Jens face as she plastered a sign on my classroom door (while I was leading a meeting!) saying - "I'm pregnant!" The squeals of delight from our other coworkers in the hallway echoed with her laughter, and I'll admit- I shed a few tears while quickly ending the meeting. This was the moment she (and Miletus of course!) had been waiting for. They were finally going to be parents!!!
A little while later, they got even more great news -- they were having twins!!! As Jen posted to Facebook - their family was "growing by two feet!"
There is something really special about going through the journey of pregnancy at the same time as one of your closest friends and I am so glad to have the opportunity to not only share in this journey, but to be able to capture these moments for them!
Stay tuned to see their hospital photo's and newborn photo's when Haley and Henry are born!
]]>We are having a baby boy!
Yup! We are due August 1st. Now that I finally have energy and am feeling pretty good, I am eager to jump back behind the camera and capture some memories for you wonderful people!!
We went to Charleston for a babymoon over my Spring Break and it really got my creative juices flowing- I've added a few favorites to my Nature, Landscapes and Travel gallery- in case you would like to bring a little Southern Charm into your home.
One of my first paid family sessions, The Ellis Family, was when I first learned about Kinder, and I continue to return over and over again.
In September, I had the pleasure of capturing some family photo's for an old friend! Kati, Clayton and Bryce, or the Bennett Family, had won a mini-session back in March but we had a super tough time scheduling it! Even the day of the shoot looked to be rainy, but the sun came out and we had a beautiful evening!
In the beginning of October, I had some fall mini-sessions set up at Kinder as well. Deena, who I had met at birthday party I shot in September, had set up photo's for her almost 1 year old. He was just too darn cute in his little vest and hat!
What a handsome family!
The Acton Family also joined me that morning, and I had so much fun capturing the personality of this fun-loving family!
The Acton's live close to Kinder Farm Park and when the kids were younger, they used to have pretend shows on this "stage".
As fall continues, I look forward to meeting many more families, and capturing more smiles!
*Please take a moment to sign the guestbook! I'd love to hear from you!*
Addy turned one and had a Luau pool party to celebrate! She was much more interested in jumping on the trampoline!
Addy was super active, from jumping on the trampoline to swimming in the pool- one of the only times she was still was to eat!!
And for a quick snuggle with Mom.
I also had the chance to photograph my cousins twins' first birthday, and cake smash "attempt". They weren't quite sure what to make of all the people staring at them, or the cake in front of them.
This picture of Sophia has kept me laughing for weeks now!
Ahhh- babies! I never know what to expect when I photograph a little one, but I have to say- it's always interesting!

I was really happy to hear that not only did Ashley got an awesome new job, but that she wanted me to take some professional headshots for her totally new, cool job! We met up at Linthicum Park by my house and made use of some pretty green trees and the brick wall at the local elementary school.
Best of luck to Ashley in her new job!
]]>Well, I recently had the pleasure of capturing some family photographs at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. It was so nice to see how much Madison had grown since the last time I had seen her (when she was only 10 days old!). While she wasn't quite sure what to make of the lady with the camera, she sure kept those baby blues on me at all times!
What a beautiful family and such a happy baby girl!
I was so honored to be able to capture both Madison's first few days, and these family photographs and I hope to be able to share more as the years go by!

Last year I photographed Allyson's Senior Portraits, as well as her Senior band performance.
Allyson was the drum major at Severna Park High School- which was pretty cool, because her Mom was a drum major when she was in high school too!
Her younger sister, Rachel, has been an active dancer for several years and chose me to capture her most recent dance portraits at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville.
Now Allyson is heading to West Chester University and her Mom, Melanie, wanted to get some updated family photographs. With the girls' busy schedules, we had to plan this session (literally) months in advanced. Rain threatened to cancel our plans, but just in time- the sun came out!
Awwww- Sisterly Love!
And of course, we managed to get some shots of just Mom and Dad!
Candid laughs are my favorite! Bill must have been saying something amusing!
A huge thank you to the Wesley family for allowing me to become a part of their life, and choosing me to capture some pretty great memories for them!

]]>You may remember seeing Katherine's adorable face early this year when I took her families photo's at Kinder Farm.
We had a perfect day at Jessica's parents house on Kent Island...
3 generations! Not only did Jess's parents house provide a beautiful setting for our pictures, it was a super sweet gesture to have these pictures (a gift for her Mom) taken at her home.
Laughs between Mom and Daughter
Love of a grandmother! Kisses all over!
We were even able to get a few sweet photo's of Jessica's Mom and Stepdad-

She had a ton of adorable props to really make the session special, and of course, Elliott was flippin adorable as well!
He was having a lot of fun with the balloons...

And while all parents want some pictures of their kids being nice to one another...
...or just simply being adorable...
...it's always nice to get a picture of just the two of you!
Both of these family's were great to work with! I hope to be able to have the chance to work with them again and to see those adorable kids grow up!
Allyson is very active at school, especially when it comes to music! Stage band, concert band, marching band and is a member of Tri M (a Music Honor Society).
Despite the rain, we had a lot of fun in Downtown Annapolis.
Even played a little tune!
